Best Puppy in All Breed Show / Best Puppy In Group July 6 2003  at 10 months old WestWinds Sporting Dog Club's Group 1 Specialty - ( Brittanys ) Best Male / Best of Opposite / Best Puppy -  July 13 2003 Finished his Show Title 3 weeks later at the Alberta Kennel Club Show August 1 2003 just short of 11 Months old winning a 3 point win - Best Male , Best of Opposite , Best Puppy. Now ! BPIS Can.Ch. Jayhawker's Smokin Bandit FDJ On the Sunday August 3rd was The Brittany Spaniel Club of Canada's 2003 Booster  - Bandit won Best Of Breed , Best Puppy , Best Field Trial Dog -  Judge: Mr Bivin ( This Judge gave gave Group 1st to a Brittany named Jester 2 years ago at Westminster , The Largest Dog Show in the USA ) Picture below. Off to a fast Start on his Field Career !!

Spring Trial Season 2003 At 6 Months old he Started his Field Career with a 4th Placement in a Washington Puppy Trial Won a Certificate of Merit -( only Brittany in Puppy Trial  to place )  all Breed Pointing Dog Trial May 17th 2003 on May 24th 2003 , Won the  Brittany Spaniel Club of Canada's President's Trophy at 8 months of age winning FIRST PLACE in Open Derby ( All Breeds Trial ) Which gave him 2 points towards his FTCH Title in the future. Picture below ! 2nd place at the Calgary Pointing Dog Club's Open Puppy Stake May 25th 2003 - Picture below ! Also and other 3rd placement in Puppy , Lakeland Sporting Dog Association June 7-8 Then he showed that he can be handled a little bit closer when he went to the Calgary Pointing Dog Club's Field Test. This is like an obedience trial were he has to win 75% or better for a leg for his FDj , FD or FDX Titles that will go behind his name like an Obedience Title.On May 30th - June 1st 2003 - Bandit achieved his Field Dog Junior Title with scores of 92 /100 Friday , 85 / 100 Saturday & 96/100 on Sunday ( 4 Bird Finds on Sunday ) Fall Trial Season 2003 AFTCA Trials :  FIRST PLACE Open Puppy ,  Big Country FT, Aug. 15-16 03 CKC Trials : 2nd  in Open Puppy Trial  - Calgary Pointing Dog Club  August 31 2003 Fall Trial . 4th, in Open Puppy , Edmonton Pointing Dog Club, Sept. 6-7  3rd,Open Puppy , GSP Field Club of Alberta, Sept. 13-14 FIRST PLACE in Derby Trial - German Shorthair Pointer Field Trial Club,  Saturday Sept 13 2003 2003 Top JR. Dog Of The Year - Calgary Pointing Dog Club ( his Sire made Top SR. Dog of the Year also ) AFTCA region 14 - 3rd over all for Puppy Single Course Top Pointing Dogs in Canada 2003 - Open Puppy ( 85 Dogs Competing ) #3 all Breed / #1 Brittany Top Pointing Dogs in Canada 2003 - Open Derby  ( 105 Dogs Competed ) #3 All Breed but # 2 Brittany Spring Trials 2004 The Calgary Pointing Dog Club - Derby Stake - 7 dogs entered - 4th place ( Kim and Vern Brunen feel it is time to brake him for the Adult Stakes ) So he might be out of the Trials tell this is done. He had a beautiful start of the Brace but he forgot all he was taught last year and started to chase the bird the flow up in front of him. He did finish the brace but only placed 4th. He should have done better then this but he had to much time off from his training since the end of the 2003 circuit .
